Since 2024 we are offering tutoring during school hours each term at Te Kauwhata Primary School, Kimihia Primary School, Huntly Primary School Ohinewai Primary School and Te Paina School.

What to Expect
Your child will join in a group 45-minute class once per week of the school term during school hours.
Every week a new skill will be taught, including chords and techniques, as well as revising the previous weeks lesson. These will be brought together using songs as they build their skills. Each student should practice during the week at home, and may be supplied with a handout to help them remember.
Enrolment
Please advise the school office if you would like to enrol your child; you will need to provide your email and phone number.
Enrolment for each subsequent term in the year will occur automatically, unless otherwise advised that your child would like to withdraw.
If you would like to withdraw from the next term please advise via email prior to the first class of term. If you need to withdraw your child during term time, two weeks notice is required via email.
The school is providing the venue and initial enrolment details, however all enquiries about the classes should be made directly with TK Guitar Works.
Guitar Supply
Unless supplied by the school, students should bring their own guitars.
There are a limited amount of spare guitars which can be used if a student has forgotten theirs. If your child does not have a guitar, please let us know in advance and we may be able to reserve one for them. Supplied guitars are not available to be taken home, and are for lessons only.
Missed Classes
If for any reason TK Guitar Works is unable to run a class at the allocated time, a make up class will run ASAP or prior to the end of term. Where this is not possible, a credit will be held to apply to a future class.
If your child is absent from class for any reason (e.g. sickness, camp, holidays etc.), payment for the class is still required.
Class Fees
Classes are $200 for a 10-week term (pro-rata’d if joining after the first class of term). A 10% discount applies when paying for a full-term in advance ($180).
Invoices for a full-term are available on request. We are not GST registered.
Payments
Full-term fees are due on enrolment however payments plans (weekly or fortnightly) are available by prior arrangement. Payments must be made in advance of class and are non-refundable.

Missed Payments
If you are on a payment plan, and think you may miss an upcoming payment, please let us know ASAP and we’ll be happy to work with you to meet your needs.
If you do not communicate with us, after two classes of non-payment, your child will be unable to return to class until the outstanding balance and the remainder of term is paid in full. Any classes taught will still be payable.
